We’ve been very busy at the Disrupt headquarters! To fill you in on this year’s campaigns, we’ve pulled together a run-down of our top moments.
Here at Disrupt we’ve had the privilege to work with forward-thinking clients on awesome campaigns, making brands famous along the way. Read on for our highlights.
1. LAUNCHING ABSOLUT EXTRAKT
Having always been fans of Absolut Vodka, we were over the moon to be tasked with building the global brand tool kit and launch plan for their new vodka shot brand Absolut Extrakt in the UK and Europe.
We brought the brand to life by creating a suite of social assets and an influencer programme that will be rolling out in 2018. Stay tuned for the full roll out of Absolut Extrakt early next year. If you see it over Xmas, don’t forget to give it a shot! Read the full case study here.
2. MAKING THOMAS COOK’S CLUB 18-30 LEGENDARY WITH #LEGENDARYHOLIDAYS
Thomas Cook commissioned us to re-launch and re-position their Club 18-30 brand. Having been on these holidays in our younger years, we were excited by the challenge of making Club 18-30 famous. We worked with Geordie Shore star and ex-Rep Gaz Beadle, Imogen Townley from Ibiza Weekender and grime MC Big Narstie to create a series of videos talking about their best holiday moments. 3. STATE OF PLAY: GRIME REPORT WITH TICKETMASTER
To cement grime’s influence in the live music industry, Ticketmaster released its annual report all about the hottest genre right now.
Our studio creatively produced the report, leading on design and editorial and locked down contributions from influential voices on the grime scene. Download the report here.
4. HOUSE OF MARLEY FESTIVAL PARTNERSHIP WITH BOARDMASTERS
For our second year in a row, we curated House of Marley’s lineup for Boardmasters Festival. This year we took the experience to a whole new level, with live musicians, featured acts and DJs including BBC 1Xtra’s Melody Kane and Seani B, the legend Kenny Ken and Mr Play.
Over 50,000 festival-goers attended Boardmasters with thousands flocking to our stage making it one of the most successful stages of the entire festival. Watch the Boardmasters’ 2017 highlight video below.
5. STEPHEN JAMES AND DEVLIN BECOME #MAJORPLAYERS FOR MAJESTIC ATHLETIC
We won Majestic Athletic, the Fanatics owned sports and lifestyle company as a client! We teamed up with model Stephen James to launch their spring/summer major league baseball collection. The content hit over 1 million views and features a custom track from up and coming Sony artist Cameron Bloomfield. For autumn/winter, we linked up with four of the UK’s inspiring game changers including artist and grime legend Devlin. Read the full case study and activity here.
6. STORMZY REQUESTS ALIZE’S ‘FIRST THINGS THIRST’ CUSTOM COCKTAIL
We were approached by Red Bull Studios to partner with Stormzy on the launch party of his award-winning album ‘Gang Signs And Prayer’ where custom Alize cocktails were served. We’ve been busy embedding the iconic hip-hop drink into the grime scene over the past two years, partnering with significant cultural events, running Alize’s social media and implementing an influencer programme.
7. DAMIAN MARLEY INTERVIEW FOR MUSIC MATTERS
We had the pleasure of working with the renowned reggae artist Damian “Jr Gong” Marley this year as part of our Team Marley influencer programme. For the launch of his highly anticipated album ‘Stony Hill’ our studio produced “one of his best interviews” with BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Seani B. It was an honour to have a legend in the office and hear the story of how the album came about. Watch the full video interview below.
8. YEAR THREE OF THE KA AND GRM DAILEY RATED AWARDS
The KA and GRM Rated Awards celebrated three years! The awards held at the Round House has become the pinnacle urban culture awards show. Every year the event gets bigger and better. There were many highlights of the night, including Big Shaq’s ‘Mans Not Hot’ performance.
Thank you to everyone who has worked with us to make all of these moments possible. 2018 will be our first full year with our new partners Found so we are very excited to take Disrupt to the next level!
